1. Fielding restrictions:

Instead of 3 powerplays only two will be there in WC 2015. One will be the mandatory one for the first 10 overs of the match and the second one will have to be used before the 40th over.

2. New Balls:

The white leather ball gets damaged easily so the general trend was to use another ball after the 34th over but it would never be a new one but in this WC teams can use a brand new ball which will come as a challenge for the batting side, may be the bowler’s paradise is here again.

3. Less Part timers:

WC 2011 was held in the Indian Sub-continent where the pitches are more suited for the spinners so the competition saw the rise of all-rounders who were used as part timers such as Yuvraj Singh who was awarded the Man of the Tournament. But this WC is in the Australian and New Zealand pitches which have more bounce and support pace so this time we will see captains going less to their part timers and more towards the seamers for refuge.

4. No legends:

This WC will have a void which will never be filled again. All the legends that we love and respect are all gone. Sachin, Murlitharan and Kallis are now no more part of this world cup.

5. DRS:

No Hotspot this time unlike the WC 2011. There will be only real time snickometer and ball tracking technology for lbw this time to help the third umpire take decisions.

6. Prize money:

One more thing which has gone up this time is the take away prize money which has increased from $8m, as in WC-2011, to $11m this time.

7. No super overs:

This time there will not be any super overs in the knockouts. The side finishing higher in the stages will proceed in case of a tie. In case of a tie in the finals, both the teams will be declared as the winners.

8. 1st India vs Pakistan match without Sachin:

This will be the first time when India will play against Pakistan in a WC and that too without the legendary Indian opener- Sachin Tendulkar. He has played all the previous 5 matches in WC 92, WC 96, WC 99, WC 03 and WC 11.

9. Attendees:

An expected figure of about 7 million attendees is going to show up this time and over 1 billion TV viewers are expected.
