Dark Matter and Dark Energy

The strange expansion of universe and the holding up of stars in a cluster called galaxy are two of the many questions that have baffled the scientists for decades. There are many theories explaining and counter explaining these heavenly phenomena but none have been verified till date. One such mind boggling theory explains these using the presence of Dark Energy and Dark Matter which were created at the time of Big Bang and are responsible for all the weird events in the Cosmos.

Much to the horrors of the scientists, these are invisible entities and cannot be traced by visible observations. They need to be tracked by indirect approaches involving complex experimental hunting. Till date we can just speculate but the theory of Dark Energy and Dark Matter gives me goose bumps everytime i try to learn about it.
