Mosasaur: Mega beast of the ancient ocean

Millions of years ago our Earth was dominated by the dinosaurs until the game changer asteroid hit the Earth's crust and changed everything forever. Before the fateful event it was the world of wild and the game of life and death was everyday's job. This game is a mundane routine for the marine life even millions of years later. However its hard to imagine how fierce the competition of survival would have been in the ocean waters when dinosaurs crawled on the land.

Evolution has manufactured many killing machines but it needs perfect timing and conditions for the organisms to evolve into such rippers. Mosasaurs are one of the examples of the ruthless engineering of evolution creating a megabeast which had no equal in its time. It was the T-Rex of the oceans and lurked in the murky saline waters.

Since humans arrived late in the evolutionary chart we have a lot of ground to cover and to understand what all happened before we got here. Like Mosasaurs, many other beasts would have roamed on our planet, drank the same water and sniffed the same oxygen as we do. We are opening a book backwards and we have no idea what lies in the next page.
