How will Humans reach far away Planets in Future?

In the enormous vastness of our universe, reaching outside solar systems seems like a dream. Our technology is not advanced enough to harness mind blowing speeds in order to reach the distant heavenly bodies in one human lifetime.

The fastest man made space probe, the voyager, is travelling at a staggering speed of 11 miles/ second which is still not enough for us to explore the universe. The technological backwardness of humans to tame the speeds of cosmos is the one thing that is keeping us far behind.

But what will the future spacecrafts look like when humans will finally leave our home, the Earth, and prepare to colonize on an alien one. How will we break the barriers of speed and enter the physics of fast and furious?
